On the 19 September Chief Minister Mr Himanta Biswa Sarma unveiled the Orunodoi 3.0 scheme focused on empowering women of the state. With this initiative approximately, 3.7 million women will receive monthly financial aid of Rs. 1,250, adding up to Rs. 15000 annually. The Orundonoi scheme focuses of providing financial assistance to women from financially weaker sections in Assam. Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam to apply for the scheme as the state authorities have launched the scheme only for the residents of Assam.
- The applicant must hold an Aadhar seeded ration card.
- The applicant is required to be a woman and the age range is set to 18 years that means only adults are eligible for the financial assistance.
- Under the scheme, widows, unmarried women above the age of 45, divorced, deserted and transgender are allowed to register.
- All the Divyangjan individuals, irrespective of gender are eligible for this initiative.
- Women whose earners of the house are disabled or old enough can apply for the scheme.
- Old or infirm women are also eligible for the registration.
- Women with HIV, Thalassemia, Hemophilia, Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy or Autism are eligible for the scheme.
- Women living is rented house and do not have any permanent place to live are eligible under the scheme.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Doctors teachers lawyers CAs, bankers, architects are not eligible for the scheme.
- The panchayat raj, urban local bodies and autonomous council’s members are not eligible. MPs, MLAs, CEMs, EMs, or the ex-counterparts are also not eligible.
- Those house who own any four wheelers are not eligible to apply.
- Those who own any piece of land are not eligible as well.
- Those who are already a part of other financial assistance providing schemes such as Orunodoi plus are not eligible to apply for this one.
- Real estate agents, industrialists, government contractors, trade license holders, businessmen and income tax payers are not eligible.
