About Odisha KALIA Yojana New List 2024
The Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme is key initiative by the government of Odisha aimed at supporting farmers, cultivators, croppers, and landless agriculture laborers. This scheme offers a variety of benefits to its applicants. And one of the major advantages is the financial assistance that is provided to the small and marginal farmers. Each family will receive Rs. 25,000 over five seasons, which the families can use to purchase inputs that they need such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and for labor costs and other investment.

For those who are engaged in agricultural allied activities, such as goat rearing, mini layers units, fishery kits, duckery units, mushroom cultivation and bee keeping the government will be providing Rs. 12,500 to each landless agricultural household. Additionally, vulnerable cultivators and landless agricultural laborers will be granted Rs. 10,000 per family annually to ensure their sustenance.
The KALIA scheme also includes life Insurance coverage of Rs. 2 lakhs for savings bank account holders between the age of 18 to 50. The insurance is offered at a nominal premium of Rs. 330, with Rs. 165 paid by the Odisha government. Furthermore, a personal accident cover of Rs. 2 lakhs are provided at a premium of Rs. 12 with half of it funded by the government. Farmers are also eligible for crop loan up to Rs. 50,000 at a zero percent interest rate that will help them to manage their farming activities without worrying about the financial burden.
