The government is set to provide subsidy of Rs. 50,000 through this scheme as well as it covers the cost of pursuing higher education for the students. All the students who were hesitant to pursue high level education due to family financial conditions no longer need to worry about the amountthey will need to get into the higher academyas the Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme 2.0 will provide a subsidy for loans taken between 1st April 2020 to 31st march 2024.

Announcement Date
The state government of Assam announced the scheme on 20 August 2024 and will roll out the scheme second version on 5 September.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate is required to be a permanent resident of Assam state.
- The candidate should have taken loan between 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2024 from any commercial bank or regional rural bank.
- The bank that they have taken from should be recognized by the Reserve Bank of Assam.
- Under this scheme, no family income per annum matters.
- Children of serving public officials (MPs, MLAs, Panchayat officials) andgovernment employees will not be eligible to apply under the scheme.
